We will conduct individual position work and work on team concepts! All of our coaches are very experienced in working with players of all ages and all skill levels. We pride our selves in having the top coaches in each position, including goalies and face off men!

Sentry Lacrosse has partnered with Former Duke Lacrosse Coach, Pat DeBolt and Vanderbilt's 2011 Athlete of the Year, Emily Franke!

Pat has 6 years of Division I coaching experience including a National Championship with the Duke Blue Devils. He has worked with some of the best players in the world and coached alongside the top coaches in the game including Coach Tierney from Hofstra University, Coach Myers from The Ohio State University and Coach Danowski from Duke University.
Coach Debolt has extensive experience working with the top select lacrosse programs around the country and he is bringing his knowledge and expertise to Sentry.

Emily is an All-American from Baltimore, Maryland who went on to play lacrosse at Division I, Vanderbilt University where she was named Athlete of the Year in 2011. She was at the top of her team in overall points, goals and assists as well as nationally ranked for draw controls.
She has 3 years of coaching experience with the Skywalkers Lacrosse club, a select team based in Baltimore, Maryland.

NEW TO SENTRY:

◊ Sentry will now go year round offering players a chance to practice and compete during the Fall, Winter and Summer months.

◊ Sentry will organize teams according to grade level (graduating class) rather than combining 2 grades to form a single team. This structure is congruent with the top select programs around the country and allows the players to build chemistry over the years.

◊ Sentry will allow everyone to play by offering A, B and C teams where necessary. This enables players to move up as their skills develop.

◊ Sentry will bring the best players in the country to Dallas to run practices, clinics and camps exclusively for Sentry players. Coaching personnel will include Team USA players, MLL players, Tewaaraton Trophy winners, and other All - Americans to work exclusively with Sentry teams.

◊ Sentry will offer a girls program under the direction of Emily Franke. She will offer summer travel teams as well as camps and clinics throughout the year. Please See below for more information.

Fall Lacrosse

In addition to the team practices and tournament play during Winter and Summer, you have the option to sign up for weekly skills sessions that will take place throughout September and October. These sessions are designed to help players improve and develop specific skills. These sessions are organized by grade and skill level, all players are welcome from beginners to advanced.
When: Monday's 4:30 - 6:30 from September 12th - October 24th

Winter Lacrosse

After tryouts and team selection, all teams will participate in the Lone Star Shootout on November 19th - 20th* as well as play games locally. Practice will begin when football season ends and continue until Christmas break. The teams will stay together for the summer when they will begin practice again.
* Please note that you can play with your school team in this tournament as well as with Sentry. The select bracket will not conflict with the school bracket.

Summer Lacrosse

Similar to previous seasons, all teams will practice for 6 weeks, participate in local tournaments, and then travel to one destination tournament. These tournaments are specifically chosen so the families can enjoy the vacation time as well as cooler weather and good competition. Your destination will depend on team placement, and will be updated as soon as information is available. Vail, San Diego and Baltimore were great tournaments during Summer 2011 and we plan on attending these tournaments again in 2012. We anticipate all travel occurring in June.

Tryouts

Tryouts will take place on November 5th and 6th at Southwest fields. You MUST be registered to tryout, all players will make a team, you are trying out for the A team within your grade. We will have B teams where necessary, please remember that teams are formed by grade level / graduation year. Your team will stay together for the Winter and Summer in order to build better chemistry between players.

Sentry GIRLS Lacrosse

Sentry is proud to announce our new Sentry Girls program director, Emily Franke. Emily will run camps and clinics as well as offer private lessons throughout the Fall. During the Summer, Sentry will offer travel teams which will give our girls the opportunity to compete in tournaments around the country.
